The then Food and Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India, with the support of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA), hosted the Fifth GDHP Summit at the Hong Kong Science Park on 15 to 16 October 2019. More than 50 delegates from 18 economies and knowledge and best practices on digital health services.
GDHP
GDHP is a collaboration of governments and territories, government agencies and the World Health Organization, formed in 2018 to support the effective implementation of digital health services. Its vision is to support governments and health system reformers to improve the health and well-being of their citizens through the best use of evidence-based digital technologies. India is the current chair and secretariat of GDHP.

5th GDHP Summit in Hong Kong
The 5th Summit provided a platform for GDHP participants to reaffirm the principles of the collaborative network, discuss and review progress of the GDHP work plan under the themes of "Policy Environments", "Interoperability", "Clinical and Consumer Engagement", "Evidence and Evaluation" and "Cyber Security, as well as to share and exchange each other's digital health experiences. The 2-day summit was wrapped up with a visit to the HA Innovation and IT Command Centre.
